Freemake Video Converter 3.2.1.1
on 28 December 2012, reviewed by: Chris
Impossible to choose a specific audio stream from a multistream video (eg a VOB file).
Moreover it crashes a lot, leading to the till now forgotten nice old blue screen.
Just a bad software.

- Slow converter TS
- Presents syncronism and incorrect fps e problem when converting files in TS format with AAC audio.
- Presents artifacts (squared/blocks)the cutting point selected in video.
- There is no option to convert to Stereo/JointStereo with mp3 audio.
- There is no option to save you edited. If an error occurs and the program closes, you have to edit ALL again.
Regular converter. But be CAREFUL! It install lot of adwares, read and uncheck everything (including SpeedMyPC).

Lack of audio and subtitle multi-tracks, apart of this itīs a good converter with a nice GUI.

This is probably the best converter I've ever used. Really simple and works great. However, as of version 2.2.0.1, my files are not converting at all. Apparently from what I understand this was an accidental release. With that said, if you use this, go back to the version prior to this one and everything will work smoothly.
It would be nice if Freemake's website didn't show as a comment on every file that is encoded. That should definitely be changed in a future update. Otherwise, this is good software and I'll stick with until something better comes along.

Good idea, but the net framework makes the software a no-go for me. I would really like to see the developers get rid of that requirement.
Freemake, however much I try to use, defies me. It is still way behind the other free Convertor X Media recode, now even better than Win Avi.

A nice video converter. Never thought that free software can be of such high quality! I'm amazed. Most I like the ability to convert vids to my iPod Nano. Many thanks to developers.
