Initally, I wrote a review, thinking it was the Freemake Video Converter, not the Video Downloader. My apologies. I did try this out though, and it works great with YouTube. I'll keep this installed along with the video converter.

Actually this is a very good video converter and it encodes H.264 into my videos very quickly. Of course, the best thing about it, is that it's free.

I was hooked on MediaCoder for a certain time, but it tends to be really problematic, so I'm pretty much glad I found this. Hopefully, the developers of this will keep it going, because I think it has potential to be even better than it is now. It could end up being one of the overall best video converters out there, free or not.

I definitely like it, so it gets my recommendation for anyone else who's looking for a great video converter without a price tag.

Great tool to rip online vids! I can download my favorite series in shortest time. Haven't yet tried to extract the audio but sure this works fine! Many thanks to developers.
