LAV CUVID Decoder has been developed for NVIDIA graphics cards.
The formats supported by this codec are the same that NVIDIA hardware can decode: H264, VC-1, MPEG2 and MPEG4-ASP (DivX and Xvid).
Progressive and interlaced types are supported. When decoding interlaced video, this codec performs full adaptive deinterlacing.
This decoder is designed for NVIDIA GPUs and not for ATI, AMD or Intel. LAV CUVID Decoder runs on Windows XP, Widows Vista and Windows 7.
The last version of LAV CUVID Decoder included the following changes: better resource release behavior, faster response time on channel changes in DVB Viewer, improved response time on channel changes in DVB Viewer and improved VC-1 in EVO with pulldown flags.
LAV CUVID Decoder is currently discontinued and its functionality has been included into LAV Filters
- a collection of DirectShow media splitters and audio/video decoders that allow you to play a wide range of media formats.
It uses the NVIDIA hardware video decoder through the CUDA Video Decoding API also known as CUVID.
