For over a week of trying to solve the c00d11b1 error upon playing any WMV file with Windows Media Player 11 on XP, using the Codec Tweak Tool resolved the problem. The error pointed to an audio device problem but, there was nothing wrong with the audio. Other solutions pointed to a manual registry fix that did not exist, reloading the software, or loading unnecessary codecs. I finally found a bad video codec that seemed to be the problem but, had no idea on how to fix it. This tool cleaned the codec portion of the registry which did the trick. Thanks.
