HDVSplit is a powerful tool helping you capture HDTV streams from your camcorder. It splits scenes by timestamp.
Another action you can perform in HDVSplit is splitting MPEG-2 Transport Stream files previously captured, as any new scenes are detected by date and time read from the M2T file.
A MPEG-2 decoder is sufficient for preview, or you can use ffdshow.
HDVSplit supports the following HDV camcorders:
Sony HDR-HC1, Sony HVR-A1, and Sony HDR-FX1.
During the capture process, HDVSplit enables you to synchronize audio and video streams and to preview frames in order to capture only the scenes you are interested in.
HDVSplit is easier to use than it looks, and even beginners can handle it by following the instructions offered by the software. All functions are easily accessible and there are no advanced functions confusing the average user.
