DivX 11 is an advanced codec which enables you to convert and play almost any video file; it also allows high quality DivX HEVC video creation and video streaming with DivX tools.
DivX 11 stands out from the crowd and it is different from its predecessor, DivXPlus HD, because it uses the newest compression standard, DivX HEVC.
The application’s developers claim that due to this new standard, DivX 10 delivers up to 50% better conversion. Furthermore, this codec supports HEVC videos regardless of the component you are using (Player, Web Player or Converter).
All its three components are focused on delivering you the best HEVC experience, and not only. The DivX Player renders HEVC videos encoded up to 1080p; the DivX Web Player is responsible for video streaming and downloading in your browser; the DivX Converter allows fast and simple conversion to various video formats.
The latest versions of DivX 11 come with a series of changes. They feature improved HEVC and AVC decoders for better stability and the DivX codec pack has been removed for consistency around the whole range of products and faster installing process. Additionally, DivX 11 includes DivX Live streaming for HEVC videos, an experimental feature.
Other additions refer to the DivX Media Server allowing you to control which DLNA devices to stream your content to, to the new experimental CLI mode of the DivX Converter and to the DivX Player performing Resume Playback for all your videos, which means you can close the player and when you open it again, it will resume from where you left.
All in all, DivX 11 is a highly innovative codec, which comes with a variety of related tools for offering you an optimal video experience.
Coding, decoding, playing, creating and streaming, there is nothing that DivX 10 won’t do for you.

DivX 10.8.5
DivX at one time was a great 'codec' and I loved it using Dr.DivX to convert files into DivX Home Theater files. I purchased DivX starting at version 4 and continued to upgrade from there.
DivX 6 was great with Dr DivX 2.0 converter. However, DivX network ended Dr DivX (and later ended support for Dr DivX 2.0) while pushing their crappy DivX Converter that did little to nothing. The Dr. allowed for 'one click' DivX conversion to 'limit the file size'. Even though the DivX Converter claims it will, it will not. I've sent at least 4 complaints about this and they have never fixed that issue. Why? Probably because h264 is better than the DivX codec. However, not everyone needs, or even cares for HD 1080, or UHD 4k video.
All I want is to create DivX files that are DivX Home Theater compliant, burn them to a 'single 700MB CD' like I could easily do with a 'single click' in Dr DivX and play them in my stand alone DivX Home Theater Certified DVD Player. Lastly why do they continue to call it DivX when they removed the DivX codec from DivX?
If the file is not being encoded using DivX codec, but rather h264, Xvid, or some other codec, then it cannot be a DivX file.
I would not recommend DivX 10 to anyone.

divx10 SUCKS! wont play ANY audio from ANY of my video files.
plays video perfectly but not a bit of audio and when I go to audio preferences and click on the correct track to use which is MPEG-1 Layer-3 audio (which is MP3 btw...the MOST USED form of audio probably on the PLANET at the moment) divx10 does not recognize it...
are you serious?!?! and i cannot find a solution for this problem ANYWHERE!
stay away from divx10!!!
