Paint.NET Update Adds New Features and Fixes Bugs

Paint.NET, a free and powerful image editing software for Windows, has released a new update packed with enhancements and fixes.

Paint.NET Update

Known for its user-friendly interface and extensive features, Paint.NET is a favorite among casual users and professionals alike for photo editing and graphic design.

In this update, users can now choose a fill color when expanding images using the "Image -> Canvas Size" feature, offering greater customization.

Transparency issues have been resolved, fixing problems with pasting images from Firefox and Microsoft Office.

A privacy concern where "Edit -> Cut" and "Edit -> Crop to Selection" didn’t fully clear pixels outside the selection has been addressed.

Compatibility improvements ensure images with bad ICC color profiles now load with an sRGB default.

Stability fixes include resolving crashes in the Levels adjustment UI and correcting zoom display errors in the status bar.

The update also fixes rendering glitches, crashes, and screen blanking for users with NVIDIA GPUs and VRR-enabled displays (FreeSync or G-SYNC).

Issues caused by Sentinel One antivirus and Nahimic A-Volute malware have been addressed as well.

Also, the "Disable Overscroll" checkbox has been restored, and the AVIF FileType plugin has been updated to version 3.11.0.0.
