Digital CCTV, which stands for Digital Closed Circuit Television, is used in video surveillance systems.
CCTV has evolved a lot since it emerged, and nowadays, pictures from CCTV systems are no longer transmitted only to closed areas like a CCTV monitor, at a low resolution; instead, images produced by modern Digital CCTV Systems can be controlled remotely using computers or mobile phones.

The installation process of this application is a bit more complicated than the installation of an average piece of software.
The first step is decompressing the files from the "GeoCodec.zip" archive.
Right-click on the “GEOX.inf” file and click on the “Install” option. It is possible that a message like "The software you are installing for this hardware... has not passed Windows Logo testing..." to be displayed, but you need to ignore it and click the “Continue anyway” button.

Just follow the steps provided in these instructions and you will be able to deploy GeoVision CCTV MPEG4 Codec on your computer.
GeoVision CCTV MPEG4 Codec can also be installed on the Windows Vista operating system.
Although it doesn’t have automatic installation, you shouldn’t avoid GeoVision CCTV MPEG4 Codec if you need a codec for your CCTV GeoVision system.

This worked for me, Win 7-64bits.
Go to GoeVision sites and download DMMultiView_1108 this would let you view the files.
