CoreWavPack 1.5.1
CoreWavPack enables you to play WavPack files (WV and WVC) in any DirectShow based media player, such as Windows Media Player, Zoom Player, MPC-HC and GOM Player.
WavPack is an audio compression format supporting lossless, high-quality lossy and a hybrid mode (lossy output files and a correction file).
The compression ratio varies between 30% and 70%.
This set of filters offers support for WavPack streams embedded in Matroska containers, too.
The 2 components of CoreWavPack are:
- WavPackDSDecoder.ax (WavPack Audio Decoder)
- and WavPackDSSplitter.ax (WavPack Audio Splitter).
CoreWavPack is available in 2 versions, the 32-bit and the 64-bit installer.
The latest versions have undergone important changes:
moved to VS 2008, decoding streams with full headers (a feature tested with LAV Splitter), created the 64-bit version and its installer, fixed the crashing bug related to hybrid files with DNS, fixed other issues as well (custom sampling rates being ignored; the 12-bit, 20-bit and 32-bit integer playback; non-standard channel configuration etc.)
