DivX Total Pack 2.3

Apart from DivX and Xvid streams, this application also provides support for AC3, WMA and OGG.

Also, you will benefit from the advantages of DivX Anti freeze 0.4 and of Morgan Stream Switcher 0.97 in order to avoid any playback problems.

The DivX Total Pack features in the 2.3 version are grouped in two categories: video and audio.

Video tools contain DivX6, which only runs in unicode system, in 98/Me old DivX 5.2.1; Xvid 1.1.0b2; VP6 6.2.6.0 and VP7 7.0.8.0.

The audio tools are represented by DivX (WMA), Ac3Filters 1.01a, OggSplitter 0.9.9.6 + CoreVorbis 1.0, CoreAAC 1.0b9, RadLight Ogg splitter and Vorbis decoder 1.0.0.2.

Furthermore, DivX Total Pack also installs to your computer the Haali Matroska splitter, Morgan Stream Switcher 0.99 and DirectVobSub 2.36 (for Windows 98 with subtitles not unicode). These tools versions are available for DivX Total Pack 2.3.

DivX Total Pack has not been updated anymore since 2005 and its last version was 2.3. It may be obsolete for some users, while others will continue to find this tool helpful.

Another limitation is that the Divx Total Pack doesn't register VFW, which means it cannot be used for video editing.

Using the DivX Total Pack tool or not is a personal option and it only depends on each user and their needs if this outdated codec pack will do its job or not. Installing this lightweight and free pack on your computer is not a bad idea, though, if you are not using the latest multimedia formats and you have an older computer.
