Right-click on mplayerc.exe and choose "run as administrator". Then you should be able to create file associations on Vista.

@shaun

Report your problem on the Codec Guide support forum and they will get fixed.

It is very likely your problems are caused by bad drivers. That is not something the pack is responsible for.

The K-Lite FAQ also contains very useful help. I suggest you read that as well before blaming the pack.

@Theo Double

Windows should already by default be able to generate thumbnails for MPEG files. That is why there is no option for it in the pack.

"it is not recommended to install codec packs". Well i should take this advice and not installing k-lite... Caused so many problems with the system :/

"This is absolutely the best video player for HD I have ever tried!"

You took the words right out of my mouth. This is the best, I say again, THE BEST video player software out there, hands down. They killed the competition right here.

The GPU acceleration feature *really* works (unlike other software companies' claims), making even the most intense HD videos incredibly smooth, even on an Ion netbook.

Great job, Mirillis!

You cant compare it with xvid. Xvid and divx are for poor or blind people. x264 + Splash player and ATI GPU decoding = eye candy :)

Well, im quite impressed as Splash uses up to 2% my CPU with full HD playback. MKV files work great. Ultra fast and stable software. Supports multi-displays without a problem.
