v2.1.1.609 no longer opens DV (miniDV) coded videos due to visualstudio2022 compiler bug.
Also it's no longer compatible with win7 unless you replace a couple of DLLs.
Until is solved, will stick with VirtualDub2 v44282 which is the latest which is compatible with my needs.
Update: Apparently DV problem is solved in latest test version VirtualDub2_v2.1.2.647 (test build)

for Windows 10 it is WMP 12, not WMP 11, so this maybe is for Windows 7 .......
Editor's Answer: Hey there,
I think you’re talking about Windows Media Player Legacy, which is indeed at version 12.
I'm currently running Windows Media Player 11.2409.11.0 on Windows 11 Pro 23H2, and it works fine. ;)

Dolby vision is good!
It isn't free.
It takes your email to collect user data, and requires internet connection!
Editor's Note: Hi David, you can use Nero WaveEditor offline and without an account by following the link we've provided.
This software is freeware, so it's completely free to use. While an account may be required for Nero Start, you can still run Nero WaveEditor without one.

It says the driver is missing. But which driver is missing I don't understand
Editor's reply:
Install MSI DTS Driver, from download page.

Despite trying 2 different sessions to simply burn two roughly 1 hour concert mp4s to 1 DVD, the program refuses.
It just shows an error about Text Overflow In Menu.
The 3 main option buttons given on the error pop up do not fix the issue so burning can proceed...it just sent up another window ("Analyxing project. Please wait") with a status bar that never moves. What a waste of time and drive space.
Junk. Find something else. I'm still searching (since Handbrake never worked either).

Hey there, the version number is correct.
As already mentioned on the page, the author says that changing the version number will cause MX Player Custom Codec to stop working with MX Player.
Here is his message:
"you're seeing the file name correctly. So, MX didn’t update the version number. The file libffmpeg.mx.so.xxx.1.49.0 is correct, and using anything else will prevent MX from loading it."
Thanks for bringing this up. I hope it's clearer now.
