Insert Your Disc

Insert the DVD, Blu-ray, UHD, or AVCHD disc you want to rip into your drive.

Open MakeMKV. It will automatically detect your disc.

Select Titles and Tracks

Once the disc is loaded, MakeMKV will show the available titles (movies, episodes, etc.) and audio/subtitle tracks.

Select the titles and tracks you want to convert to MKV. Uncheck any unwanted ones to save space.

Set the Output Directory

Choose where you want MakeMKV to save the ripped MKV files.

Click the folder icon next to Output Folder and set your desired location.

Start Ripping

Click the Make MKV button to begin the ripping process.

Depending on your disc and drive speed, this may take some time.

That’s It!

After MakeMKV finishes, you'll have an MKV file of your disc's content. This file will retain full quality, including all video, audio, and subtitles.

You can now enjoy it on your computer or media player without needing the physical disc.
