GIMP 3.0 Release Candidate Arrives as Full Release Nears

The long-anticipated GIMP 3.0 release is drawing closer, with the arrival of the first Release Candidate (RC1) announced on November 6, 2024.

 

GIMP 3.0 is Coming!


The GIMP team reports that this latest build is a critical step, focusing on stability improvements, bug fixes, and feedback from developers and users.

Major changes in GIMP 3.0 will include an updated GTK3 backend, better performance and support for modern hardware.
