About the World Clock Grid
The World Clock Grid is a free, browser-based tool that displays the current time in multiple cities at once - perfect for remote teams, international families, traders, journalists, and anyone whose day spans multiple timezones. Pick from 60+ preset cities covering every major business and travel hub on every populated continent.
Each tile shows the city name, current time, full date, and either a sun or moon icon based on whether it's day or night there. A subtle color tint overlays the tile to match the local time of day - cool blue at night, warm orange at sunrise and sunset, bright neutral at midday - so a single glance tells you who's likely awake. The time-difference indicator (+5h, -8h, etc.) is calculated against your computer's local time and updates automatically through daylight saving transitions.
The grid is fully responsive: 1 column on phones, 2-4 columns on tablets and desktops, and as many as fit on huge displays. Drag tiles to reorder them, click Enter Fullscreen for kiosk-mode display on office TVs, or copy a Share Link that includes every setting so teammates can open the same grid with one click.
How to Use
1. Add cities - Type a city name in the search box. Matching results appear in a dropdown - click any to add it to the grid. Up to 12 cities can be displayed at once.
2. Reorder tiles - Click and drag any tile to a new spot, or hover and use the up/down arrows. Hold the icon area and drag to position.
3. Remove cities - Hover any tile and click the X icon, or click the X on the chip below the search box.
4. Pick a theme - Dark (default, recommended for OLED screens and dim rooms), Light (good for daytime offices), or Minimal (pure black with white text only - ultra-low-distraction).
5. Toggle display options - Switch between 12 and 24-hour format, show or hide seconds, dates, time differences, and day/night tinting independently.
6. Go fullscreen - Click Enter Fullscreen for kiosk display. Press Esc to exit at any time.
7. Share your grid - Click Share Link to copy a URL containing all your selected cities, order, theme and toggles.
