Steam Link 1.3.12 Rolls Out AV1 Streaming Support on Android

Valve has released version 1.3.12 of the Steam Link app for Android, introducing several updates, including AV1 video streaming support for high-end PCs.

 

The AV1 codec enables better video quality at lower bitrates, enhancing the streaming experience for users with powerful hardware.

Other updates include:

Compatibility with over 500 additional Android devices.

HDR streaming support from Windows with enhanced 1080p/4K settings.

A WiFi lock to minimize streaming interruptions.

Recommendations for settings based on network tests.

Fixes for the Nintendo Switch Pro controller and Android TV surround sound.

Options to disable low-latency audio.

Indonesian language support, with fallback to English for unsupported fonts.
