XMedia Recode 3.4.3.4
Supports the most effective HEVC (H.265) and VP9 video encoders, AAC and Opus audio ones.
In contrast to other converters it allows to adjust video and audio encoder parameters in detail.

XMedia Recode 3.3.9.1
Roughly put, Xmedia Recode is your 'Handbrake+' solution. Unlike the very popular Handbrake video recoding tool, Xmedia Recode also has a video passthrough (aka. video remuxing or rewrapping) option. Some other nice bonus features are:
- Simple chapter editing
- Simple metadata editing
- Simple visual timeline editor for trimming/cutting out parts
- Extensive output format support
Xmedia is Windows only. Other OS users, who are afraid of ffmpeg's command line interface, can use an equally powerful free GUI tool like Hybrid (www.selur.de), if they wish to remux use other features that Handbrake doesn't offer.

XMedia Recode 3.1.8.8
Sir,
I found your review of Xmedia Recode video converter very usefull but there is one big almighty problem: The converter boasts a whole host of impressive tools to truly enhance video footage but the failing is the video viewing screen at 4 inches "square" is much too tiny to properly view what you are doing to the picture, ie Deblock; Denoise; Sharpness and Colour Correction.
I do wish the maker would have had the sense to make the viewer enlarge on the pc screen, then it all would have been ideal. As it is one has to guess the subtle settings blindly, which is very difficult to do.
Also the latest version, 3.1.8.8 does not have Colour Hue whereas older versions did. If you can get through to the German developer, (many have tried, but he does not email back), then please ask him to improve these points.

XMedia Recode 3.1.3
As a casual user not a professional or heavy user, I loved handbrake as was among the best I used so far. I recently tested XMedia Recode 3.1.3.0 and quite impress with it so far. Couple of things to say about difference I found between latest XMedia Recode and nightly build HandBrake svn 5026.
For a 350mb avi movie using same settings for both encoders, XMedia Recode took just 7 mins to get it into 160mb mkv while handbrake took 15 mins to get to 155mb. But there is slight quality difference, handbrake uses Constant Quality RF 22.5 while XMedia Recode needs Constant Quality RF 25 to achieve the target filesize I wanted that was 150-160mb range. If based on target filesize Handbrake has superior quality but if based on encode speed XMedia Recode is way faster.
Pro
Faster encoding than Handbrake
Con
Bigger filesize than Handbrake

XMedia Recode 3.1
There seems to be a small mix-up with .wma audio. When you choose WMA codec v7 (wma1) it converts into WMA codec v8 (wma2) and vice versa.
XMedia Recode 3.0.4.6
Be careful installing the newest version 3.0.4.6.
Norton Security had an alert: one of the integrated DLLs (libfaad.dll) is containing malware (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)
You should check by your virus-scan before installing - maybe, it is only a FALSE alert.

the same thing with the new version, 3.0.7.0
XMedia Recode 3.0.0.0
well,"xmedia recode" overall it is a good choice but how about using/comparing it with some other best converters/encoders (Although my prefferred ones are handbrake & xmedia recode because of availability h264 options)
1-handbrake (freeware)
2-format factory (freeware)
3-mediavatar(better conversation speed/quality than the followed affiliate ones)/imtoo/xilisoft) - some other choice of the same category is aimersoft-4videosoft(shareware(s))
4-super (freeware)
5-staxrip (freeware)
6-dvdfab (shareware)
7-total video converter (shareware/freeware)
8-pepsky all in one (shareware)
9-quick media converter (freeware)
10-iWisoft Free Video Converter (freeware)
for a full pack converter/encoder , choose mediacoder but it has a heavy GUI which makes it a-no-choice for many users .
for video fixing(avi/divx/rm(vb)/wmv/asf) , choose video-fixer (A discontinued shareware project but you will be able to find registered one around the internet)
