TMPGEnc helps you create VideoCDs by converting AVI files to high-quality MPEG 1/2.
This tool was considered for a long time one of the best professional MPEG encoders on the market. Its instructions are easy to follow and you can adjust the most important conversion parameters.

TMPGEnc is suitable for all user categories, and it can even be used by beginners due to its Project Wizard that will indicate you all the steps you need to take in order to create an MPEG file.

The application’s advanced editing tools are designed for power users who are looking to multiplex their MPEG files or to apply various effects.

The Multiplexing and De-Multiplexing options allow you to separate the MPEG file into its audio and video components. The Merge and Split features make it possible to select parts of a video or to join smaller files. Picture quality can be enhanced by eliminating noise, ghosts, or correcting color imperfections. You can also adjust bit rates and manipulate the GOP structure to choose a picture type. As a result, you will be able to insert “I” pictures to obtain scene changes.

TMPGEnc lets you define how the different picture types (“I”, “P” and “B”) will be encoded; results can be previewed at any moment.

TMPGEnc remains one of the best-known encoding tools, which manages to be both complex for power users and easy to use for beginners.
