All channels come from the open-source iptv-org/iptv project on GitHub - a community-maintained database of publicly available, legal IPTV streams from broadcasters worldwide. The database contains streams that broadcasters themselves make publicly accessible online, such as news organisations, public broadcasters and government channels. Streams are not hosted on our servers and we have no control over their availability.
The iptv-org project only includes streams that are publicly broadcast by the channel owners themselves or officially distributed online. Most are news, public television, government or sports channels that stream freely on the internet. However, legality can vary by jurisdiction - you are responsible for ensuring compliance with the copyright laws in your country. If a broadcaster has made a stream public, watching it is generally comparable to visiting their website.
IPTV streams are maintained by individual broadcasters, not by us or the iptv-org project. Streams can go offline, change URL, require geographic access (geo-blocking), or become temporarily unavailable due to server load or rights changes. To reduce broken links we run our own automatic stream check and show a green dot next to channels that were online in the latest check, sort working channels to the top, and offer a "Working only" filter. Streams still change minute to minute, so use the M3U Checker tool to re-test a batch before committing to them.
Channel lists come from the open-source iptv-org project, which rebuilds daily, so the catalogue you see is never more than about a day behind theirs. On top of that we run our own health check that probes each stream regularly and records whether it was online. That is why you see a "working now" count and a "verified X ago" note - it is the result of our most recent check, not just the raw list. iptv-org itself no longer checks whether streams are live, so this verification is unique to this tool.
After adding your channels and pressing Export M3U, open the downloaded .m3u file in any compatible player. On desktop: VLC (Media > Open File) or Kodi (add it as an IPTV source). On a phone or tablet, IPTV Smarters Pro opens the file directly. On a TV box, TiviMate wants a link, so upload the file somewhere that gives a direct download link first.
Yes. Load one country, add the channels you want, then load another - your selection is kept. You can mix US news, UK sports and French entertainment in a single playlist. The selection is also saved in this browser, so it is still there when you come back; it is never uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Where our verification cache has run, the number next to a country is the count of streams that were actually online in our latest check - not just the raw indexed total - so it reflects what you can realistically watch right now. For countries not yet checked, no number is shown. The full indexed list may be larger, but some of those streams are offline at any given moment.
Yes. Every channel card has a play button that opens the stream in our Web Player, and a copy button that puts the clean stream URL on your clipboard for any other player. Testing before you export saves you from a playlist full of dead links.
