I wished that I could help Bill.
(I have Win 7 and just installed that version of IrfanView, without any problems, right into my Program Files (x86) folder.) I would guess, uninstall and check you install options, carefully?
My problems is with the Slideshow Mode and their Full Screen Options (Full Screen / Slideshow). None of them seem to be working or holding within Full Screen Mode? :(
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed!!!
(I have several old games that still require the old Apple QuickTime MOV player.)
But with QT_Lite, I can play online MOVs and still use the very flexible Classic Media Player, off-line, as a very nice and optional MOV player.
So, maybe, those complainers on your QuickTime Alternative thread need to take a spin with QT_Lite? ;)

"just a simple question? is there anyone out there who can help me to remove the dropdown play list in my player?"
Click MPC's View menu and then uncheck Playlist.
(Or simply use Ctrl+7, without using View.)
(I wonder if I will ever get any answers, here? ;)
Probably the most flexible little player on the planet! :)
(This is probably the wrong place to ask? And probably already answered, somewhere else?)
It will play the movie below, perfectly, the first time. But then, it seems to like to jump-forwards when repeating that same movie, with the looping option? (And this is a much newer mpgs movie format.) And I am using Windows XP with the newest K-Lite klcodec375f up-grade.
(The movie's specs)
Audio: MPEG Audio 44100Hz stereo 192Kbps [Audio]
Video: MPEG1 Video 640x480 29.97fps 2560Kbps [Video]
(Using Notepad on a .mpcpl file, you see this.)
1,type,0 (What does that "0" mean, exactly?)
1,filename,a1.mpg (This line is obvious)
I've read several mpc_help files.
