My Antivirus reported "Multiple Threats" after the download finished. Should've read the reviews first.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!
People who have problems with this pack should really read the included FAQ. It has solutions for many common problems. A solution for COOK audio is also explained in there.
I tested v5.61 to v6.5 on XPSP3 and there's no audio for rmvb. It always displays the COOK. I had to revert to v5.3 (I read somewhere that some people went back as far as v5.05 to get theirs working).
K-Lite is awesome for a freeware. I just hope they would address the audio issue with rmvb formats.
I read in a thread that you could go and configure the settings in ffdaudio for v6.5 but when I did it, the audio playback was horrible.
Installer is very bad.
1) No option to set installation folder.
2) No option to control start menu items
3) No option to control desktop shortcut
4) Takes control of ALL media files by making itself the only option for playing audio, video and all other types of media.
Player is OK. But the installer $uck$.
Thank you very much Kaymichi!!!!
you're the best now i can play my music
thank you once again =))))))
I tried to install it as what was said on Vista for WMP 11 but it didn't work.
Here is what I did to get it working:
- click start and type cmd in search bar
- right click on cmd and run as administrator
- go to the folder where you extracted madflac
- type InstallFilter madFlac.ax and press enter
Here you go, hope it can help
I don't have QT for 5 years on my PC.
All u need is right codec pack and BS player.
I forgot what is QT. :D
Great free program and it does convert .mov files from digital cameras. All you have to do is open them with Avidemux, just copy back to avi and it will play anywhere. I haven't even got Quicktime on my computer.
Only SPlayer can make use of the EB1006 (EEE Box) I bought off Woot. The allowance for hardware acceleration with Intel boards means I can play 720P video with the CPU running at ~20-25%... which is currently not possibly with any other players, whether using Windows or Linux.
It's a nice app. But somehow it won't let me change the MIME-settings on Win7 Ultimate x64.
Besides that, QuickTime is a highly security vulnerable app. Of course this gets fixed by Apple, but then it takes way too long before to update the version to the most stable and safe version of QuickTime. That's a bit of a bother.
If the 2 things mentioned above would be taken care of it would get a rating of 5.
