Thanks a million it works like a charm. Try different sites but this one gave the best advice. Thanks
I can view divx/xvid files okay, but it stops me from being able to view standard WMA and MPEG files!
It apparently ignores the frame rate in AVIs, and just plays them as fast as possible. Extremely annoying is the announcement at the end of the install, that the Google Toolbar was successfully installed. There was no prior mention of Google or their toolbar. Fortunately, it can easily be removed through the control panel.
Is there a chance to see Media Player Classic 220.127.116.11 in this great codec-pack ?
MPC is a very decent player and should be found on all systems as its simply versatile and neat.
There are so many great things i can say about MPC and only one thing that really erks me and that is the playlist it needs some work i find it very odd.
The ultimate codec pack - never seen better myself.
Two annyoing things though:
1) No possibility to later change your mind and change/remove specific codecs. One can only totally install or uninstall.
2) After uninstalling, the codec pack itself leaves behind a file called "%SystemRoot%\System32\cpuinf32.dll" and some registry settings of specific codecs.
I bet you are using Windows 98 or Me.
I could just say "Windows 98 is obsolete. An advanced, Unicode-based technology like Matroska is not for you."
Seriously, this bug in VSFilter is a known problem. Not installers' fault. You might want to try Haali's splitter.
...although, Windows 98 is not supported seriously anyway.
To uninstall Ogg DirectShow Filter, click OggDSuninst.exe in the C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder.
The Codecpack is great!!! I load every update (new version):-))
It works well, except for when playing streaming media. It seems that it doesn't buffer long enough, and because of that it has to buffer several times for each clip. There are bandwidth setting but it seems that no matter what I set to it sets it self back to T1, which is to high. Is there anyway to change how long it buffers before playing, like in Real Player?
