Unfortunately the open source version of this software is the final one. The Dr. has officially been retired forever.

The original version was pure genius software. Used it for many years and created "insane quality" videos. I must admit that I worked with DivX on this one and we could not convince the "top bosses" to continue it. This version will work with Windows Server 2000 and sometimes with Windows XP.

What -- Win 7 is not supported? At least that's what the warning says when I start the install...

The development isn't discontinued. The product is retired by DivX.com but now is an open-source project. Visit http://www.drdivx .com
