Problems with FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder 2006-08-28. In movies with broken key frames it gives strange error in libavcodec. After switching to MMX version from 2006-09-15 it's ok (at least this problem)

Hi, Im having problems using it with winavi and get this error message:
" Can't decode this file! maybe the file is broken or system not install the decoder ! "
I think there is some issues with the libavcodec. It has worked fine before.

You need .Net Framework 2.0 to correctly register ffdshow.ax

In Windows 98 only version 13/4 seems to work fine. All other versions have bugs and the configuration panel doesnt appear at all. Latest version crashes Zplayer whenever I try to play a file, especially MKV

I have been using FFDShow for last few years and have been very happy with it. Recently I installed Cyberlink Power DVD 7 Deluxe and found that it didnt work with the Xvid codec of ffdshow. Anyone else having this problem ? I have updated my codec to recent pack a few days ago. BTW...what is SSE release of ffdshow ?

I have found the solution to the ffdshow.ax error thing. Please do this:
start>run>cmd>regsvr32 quartz.dll
if that doesnt work try this:
start>run>cmd>regsvr32 /u quartz.dll and then try start>run>cmd>regsvr32 quartz.dll
ganbare!

Everything works fine. Can't play MKV files and bad aspect ratio on SVCD movies.

Excellent for me. Pity the rest of the family aren't able to watch X264 coded videos on their limit user XP accounts though.

This was a nice and fast build.
For the ones getting the:
Error opening file for writing:
C:\Program Files\ffdshow\ffdshow.ax
should try to close windows explorer when runinig the installer.
I do still have the explorer crash by the libavcodec, so it would be nice to se a fix or to know if there is any solution to this.

Is it just me or do none of the recent versions work with TMPGEnc. I tried every version back to 20050312 and with every one past 20050527 I get the "can not open or unsupported" message.
