Still can't play the HEVC files even though I installed the extension.
The error message changed, now it's just "Try again. If the problem persists, contact support" and the code: 0xc00db3b3

I was a little scared that this could have been a virus, I took chance and downloaded it and it worked as promised.
Oh and I did a virus scan on the folder just in case and checked out fine.

Well, I did not searched for hours. It was only one. But I was already about to give up.
In my case I was not able to process my videos taken with iPhone in HEVC in the Software DaVinci Resolve, as the free version does not support H.265.
But thanks to the author of this article, now it's working. THANKS MAN!
