Downloaded the microsoft installer file through your link, and now I get thumbnail for x265 files, thanks!
Tried on Chrome with no luck.
Worked perfectly on Firefox. Open the executable (I know, scary! But I promise it's not a virus).
Then relaunch your photos application. SUCK IT APPLE!!
I'm not paying to use a license on software that should be free!
