I downloaded this coded after having tried "Vista Codec Package 5.0.7". I am having the same problem with Klite 4.4.5 despite having installed the complete set.
While I am quite an experienced PC user (not afraid to edit registry entries, modify config files, etc.), I am not too familiar with codecs. Perhaps somebody here could help me troubleshoot the issue I am having.
I want to be able to play MOV (Quicktime) files made by my digital camera on Windows Media Player and particularly on Windows Media Center...so that I can play them on my TV through the use of my Windows Media Extender.
For some strange reason MOV files from my digital camera do not play on my Windows Vista Ultimate system unless I download and install Quicktime.
However Quicktime doesn't play within Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center, hence my interest in trying to find a code that will play MOV files within Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center.
I thought the K-Lite codec package would be able to do that, but it is not doing it in my case. Is there a particular setting that I need to choose, or do I need to modify the installation to install a particular component?
I am also having another problem (but of lesser importance since it is a unique case).
I have a wmv video that plays fine on Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center, but doesn't play on on my Windows Media Extender. Other wmv files play OK on the Windows Media Extender. Any ideas of what could be causing that?

With Media Player Classic Home Cinema, this codec pack is the best pack available. Excellent performance and image quality. You don't need to search for better codec pack. Just install this and enjoy your movies :)

This is, simply put, the best codec pack available. I recommend installing over a fresh install of Windows XP SP2.

Have had this codec pack f/ at least a year or more.Have never had one bit of problems w/ it.It`s an excellent product, even had to uninstall once because of another problem it had nothing to do with, reinstalled and even upgraded and have had no problems whatsoever.
