This version is great with most of the updates
BUT... the MPC has problems with recognizing
files such as *.PLS, *.ASX and so on! I recommend folks to go back to MPC 6.4.8.8 or earlier until the programmers can correct the Media Classic Player 6.4.8.9! Just download the earlier verson(s) from the Internet.

Thank you very much for whom did this great pack!!
when i'm using Zoom Player , the player told me thaht some formats are missing and cannot be played properly due to missing components. the format was ACX3 form, CDXA Reader SVCD disc image , CD Audio , OGM, OptimFROG Audio, MP3. it's better if the creators of KLM visit it;s homepage to know more about the issue!!!

I agree there should be more documentation. I suspect that the rm files I cannot open need an older codec, but which one. I even tried to download the "Real Alternative", but it said it was already loaded in this K-Lite Mega. So, unless I install Real Media, which may not play anyway because of outdated codecs, I won't know if my files are oo old or corrupted, or both.

Quicktime alternative and K-Lite Mega Codec are not working for my QT movies!! I had to install quicktime standalone.

You really should Uninstall All other codecs before installing this or any other codec pack.
If only this k-Lite pack would detect the preinstalled codecs and ask you to uninstall then before the inational new install took place.
It would solve some of peoples problems.
To use windows media player as the defult player, right click on the movie file and select open with/choose program select windows media player and tick the box = easy peasy :P

Since 1.35, an ActiveMovie window pops up when watching DVD with Media Player Classic. With 1.34 all works fine, without this annoying window. Is there a way to prevent it from popping up?

but one nitpick, i have many videos and ktvs that have different languages on left and right channels, before installing the codec pack wmp can "change audio and language track"... after install, cannot

I have to give this version (1.29) a 4 instead of a 5 because... AUDIO STOPED WORKING in Windows Media Player 10!!! ┬┐?┬┐?┬┐? I'm very confused. Everything playes 100% with Classic, BSPlayer and VLC (the ones I mostly use) but not that one.
Curiously audio plays ok on Windows Movie Maker. Strange... very strange.

The ultimate codec pack - never seen better myself.
Two annyoing things though:
1) No possibility to later change your mind and change/remove specific codecs. One can only totally install or uninstall.
2) After uninstalling, the codec pack itself leaves behind a file called "%SystemRoot%\System32\cpuinf32.dll" and some registry settings of specific codecs.
