FlyOOBE (formerly Flyby11) has released version 1.42, marking a significant evolution for the popular Windows 11 customization toolkit.
The update introduces a complete architectural split, separating the upgrade functionality (now called UpgradeOOBE) from the core FlyOOBE customization suite.
This strategic separation addresses security concerns and false positive detections from antivirus software.
FlyOOBE now focuses exclusively on Windows 11 customization, offering OOBE setup, system tweaks, and debloat tools, while UpgradeOOBE handles Windows 10 to 11 migrations as a standalone application.
Version 1.42 brings substantial UI improvements, including a refreshed interface, custom background image support, a redesigned App Settings view, and streamlined navigation.
The development team has also implemented large-scale code refactors to prepare for future OOBE page expansions.
The official release is available now for Windows users seeking a comprehensive customization solution.
