This codec pack is absolutely awful. Very unprofessional and unrefined with poor grammar and spelling. Anyone who thinks this is a good codec pack does not have a keen eye for what makes things good and what makes things awful. It doesn't even come with an uninstall option.
Do not install this!
I do not recommend this codec. As other users have commented, at the end of a playing a file, it also caused my computer to crash and restart, saying that it had a serious error. The problem with these all-in-one codecs is that they install components that your computer does not need and are incompatible with the current system. I recommend downloading a program called GSpot. Run this program with your problem files and it will tell you which codec is needed. You can download and install the codecs you do need and stay away from this MALWARE.
after installing, VirtualDub does'nt see the Divx and Xvid codecs....i prefer now to install the files manually...much better results

Very poor. There are some issues that need to be resolved with this codec pack. I would not recommend it, it overwrites a .dll file in win32 folder causing explorer.exe to crash every time. Maybe some antivirus' are correct in detecting malware with this package.
I can't even install it. There is little help with which options to pick and when you finally decide it asks for a cd to be put in to install necessary files. Which CD is this?
The english is also very poor, bad grammer for example.

...says "Trying to download codec, download failed" every time I try to launch an XviD file...
This is problem of new DivX 6 and not this pack. I have same problem when i install original divx, xvid and not this codecpack.
Best way is disable downloading missing codecs in WMP.
Excellent pack, but doesn't play new DivX 6.0 movies off the website.
Xvid thumbnails still do not work, and now it says "Trying to download codec, download failed" every time I try to launch an XviD file. It plays, though
yuval: this is problem of your computer and not this pack. This Codecpack dont install suport for MP3. If you have problem with mp3, you must install or uninstall something else
After installation media player don't play anymore any mp3 or movies with mpeg-1 layer 3 codec! uninstalling of this package, as well as re-installing of media player, didn't help. Is this package a virus? spyware?
How I can uninstall this codec pack?
I couldn't find the uninstall button on programs group and on Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs.
Love the simple install, but I just reformatted and when I installed this pack my XviD thumbnails wouldnt load, everything else works perfect though
Strange, because now that the DivX thumbnail problem is corrected, but XviD thumbnails fail to be created. *Annoyed* How do you completely uninstall the previous codecs -- because Add/Remove programs and searching for "xvid, divx, ac3, and vobsub" extensions and deleting them manually still isn't doing the trick.
Works like a charm. However, there's this bug where you can't make thumbnails for DivX files anymore -- not sure why -- it didnt' happen in the previous releases...
