Nero WMA Plugin is no longer updated by its developer - the last version here is from 2005. It may still run, but it gets no fixes for newer Windows versions or formats.

It is a plugin for Nero and obviously it can only be used if you have a version of NERO installed on your computer.

The WMA codec was originally built to compete with the MP3 format and fix its flaws.

WMA takes advantage of the fact that the human ear cannot perceive certain sounds and compresses those sounds at a smaller resolution in order to save storage place.

WMA files are suitable for mobile devices, DVD players and music streaming services.

Once you install this plugin on your computer, Nero will become able to process audio streams using WMA files and it will enjoy overall support for WMA files.
