Question: what IS the second word?

After installing AviSplit classic: every avi file I wanted to put into the projet folder was said to be a different format that the splitter could not work with my avi files where creaated by Windows 98se when capturing my vedios from my vhs tapes and saved as avi files.
Why didn't the program work?
