Bad Reader manages to read information because it skips bad blocks and it also allows you to copy the damaged files to your computer and open them trouble free. You can either copy the entire disc or a given folder with just one click.

Bad Reader has not been updated anymore since 2007, and it could have been improved with a more modern interface and more setting options. The application is not guaranteed to work on Windows 7 and neither to recuperate all data from any unreadable or scratched disc.
