The Codecs is no longer updated by its developer - the last version here is from 2006. It may still run, but it gets no fixes for newer Windows versions or formats.

Nevertheless, if you want to have access to the tools that The Codecs has installed to your computer, there is a dedicated entry in the “Start Menu”, called “Theorica Divx ;-) Codecs”. Access this entry and you will view the summary. Another solution is opening the “readme.txt” file found in the original archive.

The Codecs has not been developed anymore since 2006, and its last version, The Codecs 5.0, featured an updated new version of codecs for the DivX format and an updated install script and compiler to change packaging.
