I've been using Media Player Classic v6.4.9.1 for quite some time as my way to play air checks from the ReelRadio web site. It's worked great for me with no need to use the bloated Real Player. However, the Secunia PSI has always flagged MPC as end-of-life - until tonight. I ran two Secunia scans to be sure of the result but for the first time since I've installed MPC, Secunia passed it without notice. If you're using both Secunia and MPC run a PSI scan and see what you find.

There's only one thing I don't like: when I select 5 songs in the same folder and then right-click -> Add to MPC Playlist, it opens 5 windows of the player. Windows Media Player's Queue-it-up option is much better there.

Love The New MPC Look .. Performance Is Awesome ... The Buttons Make It Just Perfect :)

But ... I Had Problems Adjusting The Player Size because The Frame Is Really Thin, which makes it hard to adjust ... But I Think we can get used to it ... But The Best Version Yet !!!

I'm sure MPC is all its cracked up to be, Ive heard many good reviews. My problem is..A Staples tech, installed a DVD burner. replaced the ArcSoft softwere because of glitches and replaced it with Nero vision. I still use the ArcSoft video converter after downloading FLV with ant.com. I have MPC as my defult but I cant convert my FLV to MP3 or any other format except wmv. My converter says "cannot finish, no FLV codec is installed on your pc". I know it has the K-lite and Quicktime though I'm not sure they both run together with MPC. I downloaded an FLV codec that did nothing but hide in a lost temp file. So befor I call another tech and risk my pc in becoming a Frankinstine can anyone give me tips of what I may be doing or not doing right. As of late every youtube video I play pauses and I just installed more memory should this play a part.

Right-click on mplayerc.exe and choose "run as administrator". Then you should be able to create file associations on Vista.

Cant get MPC 6.4.9.1 other than Home Cinema to associate files in Vistaids. Home Cinema is to demanding on mediocre pc's, old pc's, and most laptops.
If I go into options>format and press "video" they're checked but they don't hold.

Version 6.4.9.0 has synchro bug with frame rated subtitles but 6.4.9.1 have this bug fixed.
Best player for video on PC but shortcuts are poor and non ergonomic for many peoples.
Example: video size increase is NUM 1 but decrease is NUM 9. Rest of NUM keys is completly useless.
I changed shortcuts (fixed dialog size for keys definitions not help) to user-friendly and now MPC is best player on the world for me.

I still recommend this program after years of solving peoples playback issues.

JUST USE MEDIA PLAYER CLASSIC!!!

FAR better than VLC which has jumped the shark!

I LOVE having a screen full of MPC's reviewing multiple videos.

Very Highly Recommended

Hi All
I installed MPC-home cinema 1.2.1008, but when I try to open it, a message comes up- "MPC - Homecinema has encounted a problem and needs to close."
Previously I had tried 2 previous versions of MPC and the same happened, all since I reinstalled XP, but it worked ok before.
Any ideas

I Just Installed The 64-bit Version Of MPC on Vista Ultimate x64.

And... None Of The NumPAD Keys Were working.By Default in the 32-bit versiojn, when u press the NumpPAD keys .. the video size adjusts based on the numbers you press.

In The x64 bit version , all the keys end up doing the same function.
PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!

And Yes.. my keyboard is working fine.i checked the NumPAD keys with different applications.


HOPE IT GETS FIXED SOON.
