Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1

MPC is showing an error wen i try to open a flv file.Actually i used to play flv files in WMP but as soon as i upgraded my k lite codec pack n try to play it's not playing so i turned to MPC but it is showing this error plz help.........

not supported flv files always say to search flv codec where, can anybody help

John Doe, you are the stupidest person I ever come across, why don't you go back to the grocery store and pack bags (if you dislike mpc, which is free anyway, why did you give it a 5/5?). Even Windows media player needs to have codecs added for non-standard files, e.g. divx. Codecs are maintained by third parties, and get updated independently of media player. Since media player doesn't get updated that often, it could replace any new codecs you have with old ones.

Problems also occur if people have installed too many codecs / codec packs. Remove everything you've added, and then install just the bare minimum (e.g. latest xvid codecs, which also decode divx).

Gabest, I think Media player Classic is great, keep up the good work and ignore the clueless whingers (as I'm sure you do).

Why does media player classic freeze for 20seconds when i try to go move to another part of the movie and my second processor is 100%?? It started happening when i changed my memory,processor and motherboard.

Does anyone know if there is a way to use the "Save Thumbnails" feature while watching a DVD. I can get it to save images, but not thumbnails.

I use this Player a long time. but not every file will be played corectly.

This is the stupidest media player I've ever come across. The user is responsible for installing the software necessary to allow it to play anything? Ridiculous. Either design the player to include the codecs or go back to bagging groceries for a living.

Ken- I used your method and it works! Of course I never tried opening .asx in MPC before, so I can't really say whether or not I needed to, but if anyone is having trouble streaming .asx files for MPC use Ken's method, because it's working for me right now

remember, you need good codec(s) to go with mpc. if you get failed to render file, more than likely you don't have the codec for that movie. ffdshow is the one i recommend. ffdshow + mpc will play 90% of everything you throw at it.

i get a "failed to render file" when trying to play MOV.

i am playing some downloded filed in MPC, its showing 'canot render the file', after running first file successfully. Please tell me the solution

need help, theres a error message that pops up when i open a file, then it shuts the mpc down and then i reopen it with the same results on the file as the first time.
how do i fix it??
