Televizo turns a playlist you already have into a proper TV channel list, with a guide and a remote-friendly layout.

It reads M3U links, Xtream Codes logins and Stalker portals, which covers nearly every way a provider hands out access.

The app is free with ads, and a one-off in-app purchase removes them.

What Televizo Actually Does

You add a playlist once and the app sorts it into channels you can search, favourite and group. The program guide fills in from an XMLTV source, so you get a real schedule rather than a wall of names.

Catch-up is supported where your provider offers it, and Chromecast sends the stream to a TV without a box. There is also a playlist editor with parental controls, which is the simplest way to hide channels you don't want on a family TV.

On Android TV and Fire TV it behaves like a TV app rather than a stretched phone app, which is where cheaper players usually fall down.

Free Version and the Paid Upgrade

Everything you need to load a playlist and watch it is in the free version, alongside adverts. The paid upgrade is a single in-app purchase rather than a subscription, and it removes the ads and unlocks extra customisation.

That makes it easy to test a provider before you spend anything. Load the playlist, watch for an evening, and decide afterwards.

Where It Runs

• Phones and tablets. Android 5.0 or newer, which covers almost anything still in use.
• TV devices. Android TV and Google TV boxes, plus Amazon Fire TV sticks.
• Not Apple. There is no iPhone, iPad or Apple TV version, and none is planned.

Who Should Look Elsewhere

Setting It Up

1. Install the app and open Playlists. Nothing works until one is added, and the app starts empty on purpose.
2. Add your playlist. Paste an M3U link, or enter the server, username and password for an Xtream Codes login.
3. Add an EPG source. Most providers supply an XMLTV address, which fills the guide with real programme names.
4. Tidy the list. Hide groups you never watch and star the channels you do, so the remote has less work to do.

If half the channels refuse to play, the playlist is usually the problem rather than the app. Test it with our M3U Checker, or IPTV Checker on a PC, and keep only the working streams.

Installing It Safely

Take the app from Google Play, your TV's own store or the file on this page. Anything advertised as a premium-unlocked or modded build is repackaged by somebody else, and that is a well-known route for malware.
