This Codec Pack has all what you dont need. Some Toolbars and crappy other software.
With this codec pack i have more trouble as without it.

At the moment its pants........ wont even load to library, just keeps freezing. well p'd off. really really really hate with a vengeance this crappy windows 8 (8.1)

I could hear the video on my windows 8 computer but couldnt see anything. every thing I read every where else was confusing and a pain in the ass and or cost money. this is simple it works and it didnt install a bunch of extra crap.
I had videos that were irreplaceable that I couldnt watch because of stupid windows 8 but thanks to you I can now watch them again!
I posted this link to Facebook to spread the word and help others with this confusing mess. thanks again!!!!
p.s. if it helps anyone reading this I downloaded the full mirror version

Why does it install AVG toolbar and Chrome?

K-Lite has been my goto codec pack forever. Comes with a great tiny media player. Lots of great features. Thank you for making such a terrific product!

The official K-Lite installer does not contain Babylon or any other forced crapware. You must have downloaded a fake unofficial adware wrapped installer.

I`m pretty sure this won`t be published but wanted to send you a heartfelt "up yours" for including the nasty piece of software called "babylon" with this install -
Even though I very carefully de-selected all the additional junkware attached to this install and SPECIFICALLY excluded "Babylon" - your installer STILL installed it, and it is a BUGGER to remove.
I do not want my surfing habits sold on to a third party and neither do I want this trashware hogging my processor time sending that information to god knows what shady people so After a long search removing it from my machine , registry and browsers I will not be using your service again and be taking strenuous steps to prevent anybody else making the same mistake.

Sounds like you got a shady copy I have been using this for over a decade with no issues.

Have used K Lite Codec Pack for years, and LOVED IT!! However, I upgraded to 9.7.5 a few weeks ago. The audio randomly starts being slightly off from the video in pretty much every format that I use.
I've gone to options, but any tweak I do only fixes the problem for a few seconds...then it's like a badly dubbed movie again, the lips are moving, but the audio either isn't keeping up or is a little ahead.

Could not view ordinary DVD on windows(xp) media player.
Downloaded the k-lite codec pack basic.
Installed all default setting, no problem.
Media player now runs DVDs perfectly. Thank you.
As far as I can tell, no virus, adware, scams or other crap.

I have used this codec and its media player from years ago..
And i like the fast loading file, fast buffer, etc.
maybe its good idea, i hope the media player classic have some skins that can change like winamp.

I am very pleased with the speed and completeness of the codec pack. I had a few problems with various players, the codec pack eliminated every issue instantly. Great job.
