HJSplit is an application for splitting and joining files of various types and sizes.
HJSplit comes in handy when you have a large file and you prefer to split it into smaller chunks, for easier sending and storage.

So, if you have a 10GB file you want to backup, break it into parts small enough to be copied to a CD and have a backup copy.

HJSplit can do the opposite, too; you can use this program to join the split parts back together and restore the original file.

Alternatively, you can use HJJoin for this, which is a tiny and specialized program for joining files.

Another advantage of this software tool is the fact it doesn’t need to be installed. HJSplit is portable and you just need to run its executable file whenever you want to split or join your files.
