Riva FLV Encoder converts video files to the Flash Video format (FLV). The input formats supported by this application are AVI, MPEG, WMV and QuickTime.
All you have to do is to select a source file and use either your settings or a preset in order to convert it to Flash Video.
The main features of Riva FLV Encoder are deinterlacing, image extraction, applying custom settings to audio and video encoding, FLV 1.1 metadata support, custom colored borders and audio parameter check.
Moreover, you can crop parts of the video and import files using the drag and drop method.
Riva FLV Encoder has not been developed anymore since 2006, and its last version, 2.0, also supported image exporting from a video to JPEG files.
The elegant interface of Riva FLV Encoder matches perfectly its great functionality. Conversion options are diverse enough to please any user: bit rate, frame rate, audio compression, offering presets, saving settings and using them again later. All the tweaking options are available on the right side of the window, and the input and output destinations are featured on the left.
With Riva FLV Encoder, transcoding files for the web becomes easy and cheap. This reliable conversion tool is completely free and it provides you with all the options an average user might need when converting video files to FLV, including cropping. You can choose those parts of the video file that you don’t want to be shown after the conversion is done.
Riva FLV Encoder should work with most video files formats and sizes, although larger files could be processed a little slower.
This encoder has a limited capability and it supports a small number of input formats, so it will please only those users who work with AVI, MPEG, WMV and QuickTime and want to obtain FLV files.

Riva FLV Encoder 2.0
Awesome! Worked just like my full official Macromedia Studio 8 FLV converter, only faster. I'd pay for this software.
